Samsung has temporarily suspended the 4.3 jelly bean update for many of its devices as users had encountered technical issues with their devices after they had updated them. Many had complained that the hand sets had become unresponsive as battery life depletes easily and the lock screen gets affected. They also said the WiFi connectivity becomes patchy. Google had introduced the Android 4.4 with Nexus 5. It had even announced that the Google Nexus 4, 7 and 10 and also the Google Play edition smartphones will be the first gadgets to receive the KitKat software update. This means that Samsung had immediately begun work on the Android KitKat OS. GottaBeMobile had stated that the software update is currently in the testing phase. An unconfirmed source also said that Samsung will release the Android 4.4 KitKat for the Galaxy S4, S3 and the Note 2, but Samsung has yet to confirm any timeline and estimated arrival time of the updates. It is speculated that this upgrade will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 3 sometime this year along with the launch of the Galaxy S5.
